Edges Lines and Spaces each panel 12 x 12 x 2 encaustic on three panels
Inspiration for my series, Lines and Spaces, is the beauty of the piano's grand staff. For thirty years I was a piano teacher. My students and I appreciated the visual designs of the notes on the lines and spaces of the grand staff. Many of these paintings are sold but these and a few others remain. Edges Lines and Spaces, the triptych, is a play of positive and negative space going round and round.
All encaustics are custom framed in natural oak. Oil paintings are self framed on the canvas, with edges painted.
